Treatment Planning for Brain Aneurysms
The appropriate treatment depends on the aneurysm’s size, location, shape, rupture status, symptoms, imaging findings, and the patient’s overall health. Not every aneurysm requires the same treatment.
For selected patients, options may include monitoring, surgical clipping, coil embolization, Pipeline flow-diverting stent placement, or another microsurgical or endovascular approach. The goal is to recommend the option that best fits the aneurysm’s characteristics and the patient’s individual situation.
